Holocaust Memorial Day 2020
Stand Together at South Hampstead Synagogue
We were commissioned by South Hampstead Synagogue to curate a week long programme of learning, exhibitions and talks to mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2020. Our project partners included the National Holocaust Centre and Museum (NHCM), Association of Jewish Refugees, 45 Aid Society and Remembering Srebrenica. 700 primary and secondary students visited South Hampstead Synagogue for the first time and participated in expertly facilitated award-winning NHCM workshops. Our opening ceremony featured Holocaust survivor, Lili Pohlmann in conversation with Safet Vukalić who fled Bosnia. Our closing ceremony featured Dr Stephen Smith OBE, co-founder of National Holocaust Centre and Museum, in conversation with Rabbi Shlomo Levin. Exhibitions on display included The Boys Memory Quilts, The Forever Project and The Eye as Witness.
